Former Lieutenant Governor Brian Dubie Endorses Scott Milne for LG

The Scott Milne for Lieutenant Governor campaign today released the following statement by former Lieutenant Governor Brian Dubie announcing his endorsement of Scott Milne:

It is my honor to endorse Scott Milne for lieutenant governor.

I served as Vermont’s Lt. Governor from 2003-2011 with Governor Jim Douglas. Over my eight years in office, I learned that the Office of Lt. Governor presents a unique opportunity to make government work for people, and that it’s important for a governor to have a true partner as lieutenant governor.

Scott has extensive experience building a successful travel business. He knows firsthand how businesses and families have been significantly impacted by coronavirus. We need leaders in Montpelier who understand the challenge of running a small business, and creating and protecting good jobs. He has the experience and skill set needed to help move Vermont through our economic recovery and toward a more prosperous future.

Scott has already spelled out his plans and priorities for when he is elected. His plan, ProgressVT, addresses 10 major issues Vermont is facing with specific proposals and recommendations to make our state a better place to live, work, prosper, raise a family, and retire. These are real, achievable, affordable ideas that will make Vermont stronger, not grandiose promises that will break the bank.

I have known Scott for many years. Scott will work tirelessly to ensure that state government is there for you. He will focus on policies that grow our economy, not government. He will be a great partner to Governor Phil Scott. He will fight for you, and will reach across the aisle to get results. Scott will treat all with respect and listen to all points of view. Scott will work hard to confront and overcome our challenges.

Please join me in voting for Scott Milne for lieutenant governor.
