POMFRET, VT – The Scott Milne for Lieutenant Governor campaign tonight released the following statement from campaign manager Corey Parent regarding the VTDigger debate:

“At tonight’s debate, Molly Gray on two occasions falsely claimed she voted for Hillary Clinton. She did not. We know this because she didn’t vote in 2016. In fact, she only voted twice in her life. She also asserted that there was something wrong with members of the public requesting public records, and couldn’t explain how she would pay for her $500 million-plus worth of pie-in-the-sky promises.

“Scott Milne was honest with Vermonters. He gave them straight talk about the challenges confronting our economy, and realistic, affordable and achievable ideas for how we can rebuild. This election is about who has the right experience to help lead Vermont out of our current economic challenges, and this debate left no doubt that person is Scott Milne.”

Scott Milne knows how difficult COVID-19 has been for so many Vermonters whose lives and livelihoods have been upended. Now more than ever, we need more leaders in Montpelier who understand the challenge of running a small business and creating and protecting good jobs. Scott is running for lieutenant governor in order to help move Vermont through our economic recovery and toward a more prosperous future.
